Lucky-me, I have been on a one-week vacation for the past 7 days. We had a wonderful family-time at the Lake Tegernsee. Some stunning-sunny-days of fall that we could enjoy. Although our kids were sick all week and me I caught the cold as well, we spend such a lovely time together, out of our regular every-day life in Hamburg. And when daddy is around, the world cannot be better for our kids!
Trying to keep our kids occupied and to do a trip every day, even if it is just a little walk, we discovered the FISCHEREI TEGERNSEE for us. It is a lovely bistro, with a fish-focused menu: they are famous for their fresh caughts from the lake and the surrounding rivers. Awsome dishes, although I must say it is a bit pricy and posh, which you can recognise by the Veuve Cliquot Bath Tub in front of the terrace. But I do love it. Perfect location right at the lakeside, the kids can feed the ducks in the winter and swim in the summer – even if you go just for a coffee and cake in the afternoon, you will so much enjoy that little place. And if you really wanna watch the fishes and buy some for cooking at home, visit their big brother at the other side of the lake, at the Tegernseer Schloss.
TheTreasurette-Fave: I love the smoked salmon on potato fritters! And their chocolate tart is just delicious!
TheTreasurette-Tip: If you wanna go for lunch, which I would recommend, please call in advance to reserve a table outside for you. On a sunny day they are quickly packed with loads of sun-hungry tourists!
Feel free to ask some questions or let me know about your favourite restaurant or bistro at the moment. Happy to hear from you, have a great day,
